The Vineyard Community Church, located at 512 S. Madison Ave., Greenwood celebrated its 15th anniversary this past weekend with an "End of Summer Party".

Festivities included live music, barbecue sandwiches, chips, drinks, and games.

Founding and Senior Pastor Jim Bricker and wife, Kristy, reminisced about their mission to help change lives and the history of the church's homes.

Pastor Jim stated, "We are a come as you are church."

The growing congregation's future home was discussed as well, supplying on big screen an architectural image that will be built on land in Johnson County, near I-65 and Worthville Road.

Towards the end of the service singles and couples whose lives have been changed came on stage, displaying cardboard posters with writing describing what their problem was, then turned it over, giving the outcome of how their lives have changed.

Musicians closed this special anniversary service and the congregation was invited to attend the outside "End of Summer Party."

The Vineyard's weekly celebration services are Saturday, 6 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 pm; and Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Childrens church is available during all services.
